Damascus steel is the popular name for dissimilar grades of steel that have been layered, folded, and shaped to create intricate, wood-grained patterns. Historically, the patterns created by this labor-intensive forging process was found in blades used by the Persian army during the Crusades and utilized in Japan to create the legendary “samurai” swords (katanas, etc.). Today, the DAMASCUS STEEL collection marries the elegance, durability, and history of damascus steel with precious metals and fine gems to create beautiful, modern jewelry.

Jewelers have used the bone of the cuttle fish as a casting medium for milenia, but the nature of the process has prevented the creation of thin, elegant pieces. The CUTTLE collection features a signature casting technique which allows for the creation of broad, flat sheets of metal that truly capture the natural waves unique to each piece of cuttle bone. Each finished piece has been hand fabricated into modern, sleek jewelry which accentuates this organic texture.
